Dr. Jürgen Deckert photographed this colorful African Leptocoris mutilatus feeding on Cardiospermum pechuelli in Namibia. L. mutilatus is known to feed on several species of balloon vine; however, this particular species is unique because it is endemic to the dry lands of southwestern Africa. Dr. Deckert is Curator of Heteroptera at the famous Berlin Museum für Naturkunde.
